Use these pressure points in the moment to create a little pain relief by pressing on pertinent points for 10 breaths. During an acupuncture session stimulating these points with needles will procure more lasting relief.
Ear Apex/Tip- located at the top of the ear this point relieves high blood pressure.
UB10- at the base of skull on both sides of the neck. This point will help loosen tension in the neck.
H8- in the palm of hand where tip of pinkie finger touches when making a fist. This very strong analgesic point relieves inflammation in the blood vessels - it is a great point to use at the onset of a migraine.
LI4- famously on the back of hand between thumb and pointer finger, this point takes inflammation out of the sinuses specifically.
GB41- on top of the foot one finger length up along the line between the pinkie and fourth toe. Use this point to open the tension band that wraps around your head in tension headaches.
LIV3&2- these are on top of foot between big and second toe and they benefit headaches behind the eyes.
TAI YANG- along the outer tip of eyebrow in the temple region. Relaxes the blood vessels in the head. Used mostly in tension headaches and sinus headaches.
UB1- found at the inner tip of eyebrows, UB1 relieves sinus pressure.
